Local dealer got its first 2014 SI

Hey there! Got a call yesterday, local dealer had its first 14 SI in.

For those who don't know, this is the new coupe. All of the SIs got new stuff for 2014. New touchscreen interface, smart key, lane watch, new seats, new 18" wheels, suspension and exhaust tweaks.

I'm waiting for my sedan at the end of April. I wanted to see if the red interior goes well with the red exterior, and me gusta! Red it will be.

Looks nice, I sat in a blue one at the Washington Auto show. Nice feeling car on the insides, I'm not sold on the exterior though.

When I was 19, I wasn't sure wether I wanted a Civic Si (this was in 06) or Focus ST. I went with the focus because power deliver was better, interior and exterior was better, better warranty and 4 doors, but I liked how the Si handled. They're looking better now and my interest is piqued again...

I on the fence about the exterior styling on the new coupes. Sedans don't look half bad though. Love the powertrain though!

I think the wheel fitment is terrible on the coupe... Its probably the same on the sedan but doesn't look as bad as this

The obnoxious spoiler fits the attitude of the car. I always thought the old one needed something in the back.

Absolutely. I chuckle when I hear someone say their Si is a sports car. I remember on the test drive thinking "wow it handles well but you've really got drive it hard to get anywhere..." At that tender young age, I realized for 90% of applications, torque is superior to horsepower.

Plus the Focus had cool features the Si lacked - boy racer body kit, color matched sport seats, Sony audiophile stereo, big backseat, etc.

I'm coming from a 2.0T, will be disappointed. There's a goddamn limit to pushing a car to achieve some speed. This needs to be pushed to 7000 RPM

Yep, and with the Si's obligatory ricer, err "tuned" exhaust note, everyone thinks you're racing.

Yeah but I have nothing against a good sounding exhaust. In my GTI, exhaust note is non-existent and that will be a nice upgrade
